Minetta Tavern

113 MacDougal St.
New York, NY 10012
Tel. 212-475-3850

We decided to go to Minetta Tavern for dinner on a whim. It was recommended to us by Jonathan, our maƮtre d' from Sunday night's dinner at Per Se. Jonathan swore by this restaurant and it's signature Black Label Burger. Upon further google-ing, we found out Minetta Tavern recently re-opened under the chefs from Balthazar and that a lot of work went into creating this burger. The pictures from dinner were horrible as it was very dark inside. Our overall impression of the burger = good but not THAT good. However, the bone marrow was the BEST bone marrow we've had to date so we had to blog it, bad picture and all.

Minetta _marow
1. roasted bone marrow with baguette soldiers and shallot confit

minetta - burger
2. black label burger, selection of prime dry-aged beef cuts with caramelized onions and pommes frites
