Fu Hang Dou Jiang (阜杭豆漿)
2/F Hua Shan Market
108 Zhongxiao East Road, Section 1, Taipei City
Upon arrival in Taipei, our first order of business was for some authentic Taiwanese breakfast. Our friends took us to Fu Hang, a breakfast joint in the Hua Shan Market that has been serving up yummy Taiwanese breakfast goodies since 1958 to both locals and tourists alike. We knew we were in for a treat - the line for this place wrapped around the food court and down the stairwell!
Fu Hang is known for their soy milk (dou jiang), Chinese donuts (you tiao) and roasted sesame flatbread (shao bin).

Dan bing - Probably the most common Taiwanese breakfast item, one that Ray's mom likes to make for us quite often. This egg sandwich is basically a crepe-like pancake with a layer of eggs and green onions cooked on top. A simple and delicious way to start the morning!
Overall, the food was satisfying and watching the workers prepare and cook the food using techniques we've never seen before was fun and entertaining. Fu Hang definitely deserves a visit on your next trip to Taipei!
